About Chapter 12 (Quadrilaterals)
Chapter 12 (Quadrilaterals) is chapter 12 of 14 in the new edition of Ganita Manjari (NCERT Class 9 Mathematics), a textbook for Class 9 students at the Secondary stage. This is the new edition, the textbook brought out under the NEP 2020 / NCF-SE 2023 syllabus rollout.
Chapter 12 studies quadrilaterals, which occur everywhere in daily life, beginning with the question of which quadrilaterals can tile the plane. It develops the properties of the different types of quadrilaterals and uses them to answer the tiling question at the end of the chapter.
In the book it comes after Chapter 11 (The World of Algorithms) and before Chapter 13 (Two Variables, One Line), so it helps to be comfortable with the earlier chapters before starting it.
